Harmony Elementary School received the Diamond Star School status for their dedication and support with the inaugural Georgia Schools Care initiative to raise funds for Georgia’s foster care children.
Pickens High Receives AP Honors
On February 27, 2024, State School Superintendent Richard Woods named Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools from 99 school districts for 2024. Pickens High School received honors in both AP STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Achievement and AP STEM. Way to go!
Preschool Enrollment is Open!
Students must be 4 years old on or before September 1st (birthdate prior to September 2, 2020). Applications will be accepted until 4:00 pm on March 25th. Lottery will be held on March 28th. The registration process is explained at: pickenscountyschools.org
Pickens County School District’s Graduation Rate Top State’s Average
Pickens County School District’s 4-year graduation rate tops the state average once again. For the class of 2023 the state’s 4-year graduation rate was 84.4%, the graduation rate for Pickens High Class of 2023 measured 89.81%.
