A big thank you to Woodstock Church Jasper for the delicious lunch treat! It was wonderful, and we truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. Thank you for recognizing our amazing faculty and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week!

Oh, what a night! We’re still glowing from Friday’s Fine Arts Night! The halls were filled with a stunning gallery of student artwork and poetry, and it was wonderful to see so many families and friends admiring every creative piece. Of course, the incredible musical performance of our Harmonious Hill City Hawks in the gym topped off the evening.
We’re so proud of our talented students and grateful to our community for celebrating the arts with us. It was truly a gem of a night! #FineArtsNIght

Math Sleuths at Work!
Mrs. Wisniewski's second-grade detectives put on their thinking caps to crack "The Case of the Sticky Bank Burglary!" Using 5 clues and their money-counting skills, these mathmaticians uncovered which sneaky suspect robbed The Manhattan City Bank and covered everything in glue!

"Hit them! Hit them!"
Our 3rd and 4th graders had a blast cheering each other on as they threw pies at Deputy Roach, Ms. Delane, Mrs. Lane, Mrs. Patterson, and Dr. Kretschmar!
This sweet reward was earned after two focused days of Georgia Milestones testing for math. We’re so proud of their hard work — and we can't wait to see what fun is in store after three days of ELA testing!

Our Family Night for ELL is tomorrow night! Please join us at Harmony Elementary School on Tuesday, 5/6, at 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! 🌟
A HUGE thank you to the Hill City PTO for treating our faculty and staff like absolute celebrities today! The lunch was delicious!

Our administrators are the best!

We appreciate all you do to make Hill City Elementary the best it can be! #SchoolPrincipalAppreciation #AssistantPrincipalAppreciation

We wish you well, Mrs. Jordan!

Best wishes as you embark on this exciting new chapter in your career — we know you’ll make a difference wherever you go!

It is School Lunch Hero Day! Thank you to our Hawks Cafe ladies who keep our Hawks happy and well fed!

Wow! Congratulations to Damien in Mrs. Bryson's kindergarten class. He's mastered all of the FIRST GRADE sight words! That's awesome, Damien! Keep up the great work!

Parents and Guardians:
This is the time of year when schools are actively planning for the next year and looking for feedback that will help us grow and be the best school we can be. In order to partner with us and help in this growth I would like to ask you to complete two surveys. They are both very short and should take no more than five minutes each to complete. Survey #1 is linked below. It's the Leader in Me Survey, which will help us plan better for the second year of implementation of our Leader in Me Program.

Congratulations, Mr. Reed!
It’s time to pass the Hawk again, and this week Ms. Jordan has chosen… Billy Reed!
She shared, "He is an excellent model of having a growth mindset for the students he works with. He consistently has a calm and reassuring presence, contributing to the feeling of stability within the school for those kids whose lives outside of these walls may not always be so stable."
Thank you, Mr. Reed, for your heart, your consistency, and the positive impact you make every day.

Mrs. Anderson’s Pre-K class visited the media center today for storytime and loved "If I Built a House" by Chris Van Dusen! They were also the first to experience our brand new Big Blue Blocks — a collection of "loose parts" like bricks, cylinders, chutes, and channels, perfect for creative play! Thank you to Amicalola EMC Bright Ideas and Hill City PTO for making this possible with their generous grants!

A big THANK YOU to the Amicalola Garden Club for awarding a $200 grant to Hill City! Mrs. Chapman was thrilled to receive this generous gift and is excited to put it to great use in our school garden. Watch us grow!

Congratulations to Bryson, Rylan, Paige, and Owen from Mrs. Davis' 2nd-grade ELA class! These students worked hard and brought their spring benchmark scores up by a level — and in some cases, even more! Your perseverance and dedication to improving your reading skills has paid off! Way to go!

Check out the May menu for our students in the Hawk's Cafe! (Just FYI, the elementary schools will each have a different menu for May.)
