Accountability

Accreditation

One of the strongest indicators of a high-performing district is its ongoing pursuit of improvement. District accreditation through Cognia is a globally recognized mark of educational excellence, earned through a rigorous peer-review process.

Cognia identifies top-performing districts based on how well they exemplify four key characteristics:

CULTURE OF LEARNING:  A strong, mission-driven commitment to meaningful learning experiences.

LEADERSHIP FOR LEARNING: Leaders who positively impact all aspects of the school system.

ENGAGEMENT OF LEARNING: Students are active, confident participants in their learning.

GROWTH IN LEARNING: Students show measurable growth and are prepared for future success.

Pickens County School District is fully accredited through Cognia.

College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI)

CCRPI is the comprehensive school improvement, accountability, and communication platform for Georgia. It promotes college and career readiness for public school students.

  • Overall scores for elementary and middle school are comprised of four components: content mastery, readiness, progress, and closing gaps.

  • High school scores add a fifth component: graduation rate.

  • Each component is scored on a scale of 0 to 100.
