All Pickens County Schools and District Offices will be closed December 22nd to January 2nd. January 5th will be a Virtual Learning Day. Students will return to in-person classes on January 6th.

Our students are receiving dental services at their schools this week. A big thank you to our partners and staff for helping ensure our learners stay healthy and smiling! We appreciate the support of the Board, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principals, and School Nurses in bringing important services directly to our schools.

Congratulations to Owen Mumaw for being one of thirty Georgia high school students selected to participate in the Youth LEAD Georgia program. We are immensely proud of you Owen!

Congratulations to Harmony Elementary for winning the best student attendance for the third month in a row!

Today is Substitute Educators Day. Substitute teachers keep the learning going and PCSD appreciates your contributions to our schools.

November 20th is National Parent/Guardian Involvement Day. It is a day when we recognize the contributions of parents and guardians in schools and highlight the importance of family involvement in education. It's also a reminder that parental involvement is crucial throughout the entire year.

Happy Education Support Professionals Day! We want to give a shout out to all of our hard working and dedicated staff members who support our students and teachers. Those include our paraprofessionals, bus drivers, custodians, maintenance workers, administrators, lunchroom workers, secretaries, bookkeepers, and other support staff in schools.

This week is American Education Week. PCSD would like to thank our educators and staff for their service and the community for its support of public schools.
