Pickens High School Open House Times

Again this year, Pickens County School District will provide basic school supplies to all students.

Pickens County School District leadership staff participated in their annual Leadership Kickoff meeting today. This is the one time of the year in which Principals, Assistant Principals, and District leaders can gather, before students come back, to collaborate and receive important updates prior to the start of the school year.

Just a reminder to make sure your children are up-to-date on their vaccines before sending them back to school. Unless a medical or religious exemption is on file, an updated Georgia Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) must be provided. Please note that rising 7th-grade students need a pertussis (whooping cough) booster (called "Tdap") and an adolescent meningococcal (MCV4) and rising 11th-grade students need a meningococcal booster (MCV4).

Pickens County School District Offices will be closed July 1 - 5, 2025.

Congratulations to Tate Elementary's Ann Long for being June's recipient of the Leadership Dragon Award!

The Pickens County School District will have, on display, a copy of the new science, social studies, and mathematics textbooks proposed for adoption. The material will be available Monday, June 10th through Wednesday, June 12th at the Pickens County Board of Education Office (100 B D Carroll Street) from 8:00 until 4:00.
